Karate Pioneer Nishiyama Dead
Nishiyama Hidetaka passed away November 7, 2008. He was 80 years old. Nishiyama is best known for being the first Japan Karate Association instructor in the United States. Nishiyama founded the All-America Karate Federation (AAKF) and later the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF). Nishiyama was born in 1928 and began his Karate career in 1943.
