2009 Nationals, Ft Lauderdale, Florida

July 14-19th (Ft Lauderdale, Florida)

The USA-NKF is proud to announce that the 2009 USA-NKF National Championship and US Team Trials will once again be held in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, FL! Next year’s events will take place July 14-19. We will be announcing hotel and other information in the coming weeks. This year’s Nationals was one of the best ever, and next year’s will be even better. We look forward to seeing everyone in Ft. Lauderdale!

Karate reinstated as a full medal sport for the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. The decision was made during the Pan American Sports Organization General Assembly in Acapulco, Mexico.

USA National Karate team members and coaches meet in Chicago for Weekend Training

Members of the USA National Karate Team met in Chicago this past weekend for a final tune-up leading in to the WKF World Championships next month in Tokyo, Japan. The weekend training camp was coordinated and hosted by John and Elisa Fonseca at their new Evanston dojo. (www.fonsecamartialarts.com)

USA Junior Karate Team Brings Home the Bronze!

The USA Junior Karate Team captured bronze at the 28th Junior Pan American Championships in Santiago Chile! The Junior US Team took 7 golds, 3 silver, and 15 bronze overall for a total USA medal count of 25!
